So Long, long haiR

After insisting so much Craig let me cut his hair. The good thing is that Rita lent us a hair cutting machine and scissors to make it possible and easier ;)

I gained experience after cutting my brother's hair so I wasn't afraid to do that again. I'm not the best but you can see the result of my short experience. And another good thing is that we saved 5 bucks hehe ...

He liked it a lot!!

Did you know what the Groundhog said?

"Groundhog Day, February 2nd, is a popular tradition in the United States. It is also a legend that traverses centuries, its origins clouded in the mists of time with ethnic cultures and animals awakening on specific dates. Myths such as this tie our present to the distant past when nature did, indeed, influence our lives. It is the day that the Groundhog comes out of his hole after a long winter sleep to look for his shadow. If he sees it, he regards it as an omen of six more weeks of bad weather and returns to his hole. If the day is cloudy and, hence, shadowless, he takes it as a sign of spring and stays above ground."

So, this year Phil (The groundhog) saw his shadow and thus we are headed for 6 more weeks of WiNtERrrrrr!!! I wouldn't mind if I wouldn't need to walk, though. Specially walking on the freakin' black ice and the freezed wind blowing on your face :/

Despite that, I love winter, its amazing landscape and the trees covered on white. Like this day, I woke up and the trees were beautifully white. When I went out of the house to take pictures I was astonished to see all the snowflakes hanging on of the branches of the trees. Maybe I was surprised since it was the first time to see it... wowwww!!

I love it!!!

The snowflakes were melting on my hand :(

Home Sweet Home

It's really awkward to say that you have your own house after all this time living in your parents house! Now you have your own rules and consecutively, more responsibilities. It's unbelievable seeing me now cooking (what I barely did as a single person) and just the simple fact that I'm married, it's crazy. I went to a LDS high school and at least the 50% of my generation is already married!! some people with 1 or 2 kids and it's been only 3 years since I graduated lol.

Being a newly wed makes you to be afraid of things you never thought you were gonna be afraid of before. For instance, my own fears were:

- Cooking. I wasn't sure if Craig was going to like the way I cook , which he did!! I'm not a bad cook after all. It makes me smile :D

- What I was gonna do without working nor studying. I'm still figuring out what can I do with such a free time now besides reading, cooking and doing my chores. Some ideas??

- Definitely speak in Englishhhhh. I mean, since I was a kid I've been studying English but not speaking, so it was my worst fear not to understand what people would say to me.
LOL I remember the first time I met Craig's family.... to be honest I could barely understand'em waaaaa :'(

- mmm ... I'm thinking what else but anything comes to my mind. I guess it was what I was supposed to do as a novice wifey.

Here are the pics of our empty little apartment and the first days living in our home sweet home.

This was the first time being in our apartment...

More wedding piCsss

I can't believe that we have already 5 months married! And believe me, we have learned a lot since then. Being more independent , and working together has helped us progress in every way. We make a good team ;)

Karter looks so cute in this one!

Everyone was waiting for us to come out...

...until we finally did!!

I wasn't sure what to do when I was coming out, I was so nervous and happy that I just kept smiling and seeing the cameras for the pictures.

And then, it was the boys time to take pictures with the gorgeous groom...

My mommy and I.

My sister Miriam and her daughter Giane.

I wish all our friends and family could have been present that day,
but I know they were some way in our hearts.
